Stillwater Regional Airport Runway Re-Grade

This project consisted of regrading the last 1000 feet of the existing runway at the Stillwater Regional Airport to increase the length and provide a new glide slope. The construction sequence consisted of milling the existing asphalt pavement to a modified cross slope and grade to accommodate an 8-inch PCCP pavement section and econcrete to the new glide slope. GW²provided both construction observation, materials engineering support, and construction materials testing in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Administration requirements. This project marked the first use of a totally automated beam breaking device on Aviation projects in the State of Oklahoma. Construction budget for this project was approximately 1.3 million dollars
